In a move highlighting the significance of experienced leadership in governance, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti has been appointed as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ondo State. The announcement came shortly after Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the 7th democratically elected governor of the state.
Dr. Fasoranti, a distinguished medical doctor, family physician, and medical educator, brings over 30 years of expertise in medical practice, clinical research, and education. His wealth of experience positions him as a strategic asset to the administration, expected to provide informed leadership in steering the state’s policies and programs.
Beyond his professional medical career, Dr. Fasoranti has demonstrated a strong commitment to healthcare advocacy through his role as President of the Medical Initiative for Africa (MIFAA), a non-governmental organization dedicated to delivering free healthcare services to underserved communities.
His leadership extends to public service, having previously served as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the state’s healthcare system. Additionally, he is an accomplished author, co-authoring the book Pathway for International Medical & Dental Graduates to Licensure in Nigeria, which serves as a guide for medical professionals navigating licensure processes.
