The immediate past Commissioner for Information in Ondo State, Mr. Wale Akinlosotu, has hailed Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his recent approvals of landmark developmental projects across the state.
Among the projects approved are the dualisation of the Akure–Idanre Road, a new housing scheme, renovation and construction of technical colleges and selected secondary schools, and the construction of the Omuro International Market at Ode-Ugbo.
In a statement issued in Akure on Saturday, Akinlosotu described the initiatives as bold steps that would significantly transform the state’s economic and social landscape.
“These projects will contribute immensely to the transformation of the state across various sectors of the economy and are clear indicators of the development Ondo State will experience in the next four years,” he stated.
He noted that the dualisation of the Akure–Idanre Road would ease transportation to and from Idanre, enhance tourism, and boost the movement of agricultural produce such as cocoa. “This approval speaks volumes of the governor’s commitment to promoting tourism and development in every part of the state,” he added.
Akinlosotu further applauded the state government’s commitment to affordable housing, referencing the approval of a 32-unit terraced apartment project in Alagbaka, Akure.
He also lauded the governor’s vision to boost commercial activities through the construction of the Omuro International Market, which he said would impact the economic lives of Ode-Ugbo residents and neighboring communities.
Additionally, he highlighted the significance of other approved projects such as the sedimentation tank at Aboto and concrete landing walkways in riverine areas, describing them as life-changing for residents.
On education, the former commissioner emphasized that the renovation and construction of technical colleges and secondary schools across the state would provide a conducive learning environment and fulfill the governor’s campaign promises to reposition the sector.
“With these developments, the people of Ondo State can be assured of all-round progress under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership in the coming years,” Akinlosotu affirmed.
