The Ondo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to fostering a clean, safe, and sustainable environment for all residents. Governor Aiyedatiwa maintains that healthy living is only achievable within a disease-free and environmentally friendly setting.
In alignment with the EASE Agenda of the current administration, the Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Tob Loko, has reiterated the importance of collaboration between public institutions and private stakeholders in achieving the state’s environmental goals. According to him, the vision of a cleaner and healthier Ondo State can only be realized through collective effort and credible partnerships.
This vision came to the fore today when Dr. Loko received in audience Mr. Colins Yin, the Country Representative of Mutual Commitment Company Limited — a renowned environmental solutions firm based in China. Mr. Yin paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner at his office in Akure to explore possible areas of collaboration with the state.
While welcoming the team, Dr. Loko commended the company’s interest in supporting the environmental development of Ondo State. “We are pleased to have you here at the Ministry of Environment,” he said. “The government is open to serious and result-oriented partnerships that align with our sustainability goals. If your company is committed to high-quality service delivery, we are ready to work together.”
The Commissioner further called on other local and international partners to identify with the government’s environmental vision, noting that the state is positioned for major transformation in environmental management and infrastructure.
Mr. Yin, on his part, outlined the company’s areas of expertise, including flood control, erosion management, shoreline protection, potable water provision, soil degradation remediation, embankment construction, and the development of effective drainage and water channel systems. He assured the Commissioner of the firm’s capacity to deliver world-class environmental solutions if engaged by the state.
The visit signals a promising step toward a mutually beneficial partnership that could significantly enhance Ondo State’s environmental resilience and infrastructural development.
