Honourable Chief Olatunji Oshati (Maxima), the representative of Ose Constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, has once again demonstrated his dedication to his people by empowering hundreds of constituents and recognizing distinguished individuals for their contributions to society.
The empowerment program, held at Idoani Town Hall, was a remarkable display of generosity and commitment to community development. Beneficiaries across various trades, including bricklaying, carpentry, and barbering, received essential tools to enhance their businesses. Additionally, petty traders and elderly citizens were supported with cash gifts. The installation of industrial solar lights across six communities in the local government was also widely commended.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of meritorious awards to outstanding Ose indigenes who have excelled in their careers and made a positive impact on their communities.
Dignitaries at the event included Senator representing Ondo Central, Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN); Hon. Timehin Adelegbe (Ose/Owo Federal Constituency); Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji; Ose Local Government Chairman, Barr. C.K. Ojo; Hon. Japhet Oluwatoyin; Hon. Dennis Niyi Alonge; Hon. Yinka Richard; and several party stalwarts, led by APC Ose Local Chairman, Pa. Ladi Tenabe.
Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, who chaired the occasion, commended Hon. Oshati for prioritizing the welfare of his constituents. He described him as a trailblazer and stabilizing force within the Assembly, urging Ose residents to continue supporting his impactful leadership.
Special guest, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, praised Hon. Oshati as a true representative of his people, while Hon. Timehin Adelegbe lauded his consistency in empowerment efforts and pledged N5 million to support future initiatives.
A touching moment of the event was the recognition of Taiwo Adesuyi, a young champion of a recent spelling competition in Idoani. Both Hon. Oshati and Hon. Adelegbe presented him with gifts, underscoring their commitment to nurturing young talents.
This event marked the 20th edition of the Maxima Vanguard Empowerment Programme, an initiative driven by Hon. Oshati to uplift his constituents. The program’s success further cements his reputation as a people-focused leader devoted to community progress.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Oshati expressed gratitude to attendees and reaffirmed his commitment to empowerment and infrastructural development. He called for urgent government intervention in repairing the Oba-Idoani and Ipele-Idoani highways, emphasizing their importance for economic growth.
He also praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his visionary leadership, citing his administration’s significant investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment as key drivers of the state’s transformation.
