Mr. Idowu Ajanaku, one of the commissioner-designates in Ondo State, has pledged to bring his wealth of media and strategic communication experience to bear in advancing the vision of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
Speaking to journalists shortly after appearing before the Ondo State House of Assembly for his screening, Ajanaku expressed deep appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve.
“I thank His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for counting me worthy to be part of his team. This appointment is not only a personal honour but also a call to serve the people of Ondo State. I am fully committed to contributing meaningfully to the progress and development of our dear state,” he said.
Ajanaku is a seasoned journalist and political strategist with over 15 years of experience at The Vanguard and The Guardian newspapers. He is widely respected for his deep communication skills and political insight.
He previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Strategy to former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, and later as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. In both roles, Ajanaku played a key role in shaping public perception and driving strategic communication initiatives.
His nomination is seen by political analysts as a strategic step by Governor Aiyedatiwa to boost public engagement, enhance government visibility, and consolidate ongoing development efforts.
As he awaits confirmation by the Assembly, expectations are high that Ajanaku will be instrumental in promoting the image and achievements of the current administration, while fostering greater transparency and citizen involvement in governance.
