The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Tob Loko, today paid a familiarisation visit to the Ondo State Environmental Protection Agency (OSEPA), as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and assess the operational environment of key agencies under his ministry.
Accompanied by the Ministry’s Administrative Secretary, Mr. Kinga Olumide, and other top directors, the Commissioner said the visit was aimed at getting acquainted with the staff and carrying out an on-the-spot assessment of the agency’s office complex.
Addressing the staff during the visit, Dr. Loko charged them to prepare for the challenges ahead, stressing that it will no longer be “business as usual.” He declared his commitment to making Ondo State a model of environmental cleanliness, aligning with the “OUR EASE” Agenda of the Governor, His Excellency, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The Commissioner further urged the staff to stay abreast of global best practices in environmental protection and sustainability, noting that meaningful progress can only be achieved through innovation, dedication, and continuous learning.
Earlier in her welcome remarks, the Administrative Secretary of the Agency, Mrs. Funke Adeoye, expressed delight at the Commissioner’s visit. She warmly received him and his entourage, taking them on a tour of the agency’s departments and introducing key personnel.
Mrs. Adeoye reaffirmed her unwavering support for the Commissioner’s vision, pledging her full cooperation in advancing environmental sustainability across the state.
